Welcome

Welcome From Our Principal Dr Matthew Laban

It is my great pleasure to be the Executive Principal of our wonderful school. Barclay has a long and much-valued history in the local community and we are very proud of that heritage. Barclay Academy is a warm and caring school with excellent subject specialist teachers and a strong knowledge-rich curriculum. We want the very best for every student so that they can go on to do whatever they want to do in the future.

Access to a varied co-curricular programme also gives our students the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences.  Barclay Academy was rated as outstanding by Ofsted for personal development because we offer an exceptional range of rich co-curricular opportunities.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and to find out more about what we offer here for our students. Please get in touch if you would like any further information, and we will be more than happy to help.

Values

Barclay Academy brings together the best of all worlds in offering a high quality of education more usually found in independent schools: we are large enough to offer the fullest range of academic subjects and co-curricular activities yet small enough to know every student as an individual. We are proud of our growing reputation for having high expectations, and we focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for all our students.
